Stephan Bodian is an internationally known spiritual teacher and a licensed psychotherapist whose life has been devoted to igniting and fostering the flame of truth in others through his counseling, mentoring, teaching, and writing. Stephan has practiced and taught nondual approaches to truth for more than 35 years.
After twelve years of intensive Zen practice, including 10 years as a monk, and several years experience as a director of training at the Zen Center of Los Angeles, Stephan moved on to pursue a degree in psychology, then becoming the editor-in-chief of the Yoga Journal magazine only 2 years later.
Stephan held this post for 10 more years while launching his writing career. To date he has authored and co-authored several national and international articles and books to include Living Yoga; Timeless Visions; Healing Voices, Meditation for Dummies, and his newest published book entitled Wake Up Now: A Guide to the Journey of Spiritual Awakening.
In addition to writing, Stephan practices as a licensed psychotherapist, heads up meditation intensives and retreats at the acclaimed Omega Institute, offers phone counseling to spiritual seekers worldwide, and offers satsungs and silent retreats as well as leads an annual eight-month School for Awakening.
